Iyengar-Inspired Yoga: Align, Breathe, and Balance This form of Yoga places a strong emphasis on structural alignment of the physical body through the practice of static asanas (postures) and mindful breathwork known as Pranayama. Unlike many modern yoga styles, this practice focuses on precision, stillness, and intelligent sequencing, with the supportive use of props to help every student experience each pose safely and effectively. Suitable for all ages and abilities, this class builds strength, stamina, and flexibility, emphasizing quality of movement over quantity. It offers the perfect foundation for all other yoga styles—truly the building blocks of a balanced and mindful practice. Inspired by the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, this class reconnects you with the true essence of asana practice, bringing the body and mind into harmony. You’ll be guided to find both steadiness - Sthira, and ease - Sukha, in every pose, systematically working toward balance, awareness, and overall well-being. *note - on the last week of the month all evening classes will be dedicated to a much needed Yin Yoga practice. Yin is mainly floor based postures encouraging the physical, mental and emotional body to unravel, release and let go!. It really is quite the Yummy practice it sounds. Remember to wear loose fitting clothes and bring your blankets and bolsters/cushions for this one.
